: All I know is, if you don't figure out this something, you'll just stay ordinary, and it doesn't matter if it's a work of art, or a taco, or a pair of socks! Just create something... new, and there it is, and it's you, out in the world, outside of you, and you can look at it, or hear it, or read it, or feel it... and you know a little more about... you. A little bit more than anyone else does... Does that make any sense at all?" Quote from PS I LOVE YOU

This week!

The week of our vacation is almost here. Well technically it is here, we leave Friday. So this week is full of packing and planning and cleaning. Getting ready for the doggies to go to Auntie's house and getting us ready to go to South Carolina.
Up until today I have felt down. I have been kind of dreading the trip to SC. I am thrilled to go no doubt but the actually car ride is going to be scary for me. I have slowly been gathering things for the trip for Joslyn. Dvd's for our portable dvd player. Sticker books. Coloring books. And a really cool Dora felt book. I am hoping that some of this stuff will help us have a more pleasant trip. But then I remember how good John is with Joslyn and that with the stops to play it should be a memorable occasion. We hope to get to Memphis or Germantown the first night and then of course Rock Hill, SC by Saturday night. Then we will spend Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with my family and then leave Wednesday. We will try to get to Nashville that night and then home either Thursday or Friday. The mileage is actually about 2200 miles round trip without driving in SC to see stuff. So pray for us!

Last night I prayed and prayed about my addiction. Living with a food addiction has been okay until I really wanted to change it. Then I second guess myself and sabotage myself the whole time. Like that verse in Romans 7:15 "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do." Giving in to the lies the Devil wants me to believe. That I am not worth the change and that God can't and wont change me. You see it's not about what I do, it's about Him. So when I get down like this I am grateful for my CR groups who encourage me and love me unconditionally. Then I go to my savior in prayer and petition. I am excited about BSF and what I am going to learn through the Bible Study. I found out that Joslyn got placed in the childcare, so nothing is going to keep me from going! The more I study and pray the more my life issues fall into place. One focus on God!

Well better go and figure out dinner. I hope that your week is going well and I still pray for you everyday!

  2. Have you had Joslyn's car seat checked to be sure it is installed correctly? If not, give me a call and come and see me, that is what I do full time. 405-271-3430

    1. Awesome girl! Thanks do you have a real name or should I call you Josien913? Do you text? Adding your number to my phone now, maybe when we get back we can do lunch and car seat?

    2. Also to answer your question. We had her car seat checked by a nice lady that worked as a foster parent also in Best Friends of Pets. But that was when her car seat was backwards. Now it faces forwards, so I am sure that we need to do it again.

    3. Real name is: Regina....and I will make time to check your seat before you take your trip, it will only take a few minutes. I am located at the Oklahoma State Department of Heath on NE 10th, just East of Lincoln. We could still meet for lunch after. Just want to be sure the baby is safe for the trip. Statistically, 4 out of 5 seats are improperly installed. The number is my office number, no texting.

    4. Too funny, small world, I am pretty sure I am the "nice lady" that checked your car seat. Because I have a "Raven's Rescue" and foster for Best Friends and Forever Yours on a regular basis.

    6. Yes and we still have her. She is still jumping fences. But i am always hopeful we will find her the perfect home. I kept thinking your name was familiar, but I could not place why. Keep up the posting as long as blesses you, but it is absolutely blessing all of us!

    7. I was so saddenned when I found out that she was returned from her adopted family. I am glad that she is out with you again. I am afraid we didn't do much to help with Piper's jumping fences problem, because we didn't have fences. She loved to run and be in the open. Free spirit that one is! Wish we weren't in a tiny apartment again, I would take her in a heartbeat. Thank you, I get so blessed out of writing.

  3. Teresa, my sweet sister, the trip will be over before you know it. My advice, just try to stay in the moment and enjoy it all. These are precious memories you are making with your family. Just celebrate this time....you are a blessing to all you come in contact with...can't wait to hear about all you adventures...Cathy Hopkins

    1. Thanks Cathy! I am looking forward to this trip, we haven't done something like this in so long and we need this time together. I am praying for a good trip, but either way God's hands are on us! See you Thursday!

  4. Good luck on your trip! I hope that all goes well and that your little one has a wonderful time! I haven't taken my daugter on that far of a trip before, but I do know that pointing things out along the way took her mind off of being stuck in a seat for a couple of hours on our way down to MA. And mom's goofy voices during songs and such helped too! I'm hoping everything goes great and that you all have a splendid time! :)

    1. Thank you Ashley! I am glad that you said that about the funny voices. I was going to make a list of songs that we can sing. I am also making a list of the parks along the way so we can stop and run her ragged.
